Second, the unsettled wagers from the Grand Dallmayr Day at the end of July have resulted in two very lucrative jackpots being up for grabs.

Damage Caused by Wild Boars in Düsseldorf
In Düsseldorf, damage caused by wild boars on the track forced the cancellation of race day. As a result, the Listed race over 1,600 meters originally scheduled for Düsseldorf will be held in Riem on Saturday. Seven horses will compete in the race, the Große Wettstar.de-Meile, which offers a purse of 30,000 euros, including four three-year-olds. Particular attention should be paid to Loucas, trained by Waldemar Hickst, who is returning to the mile after competing in the German Derby over 2,400 meters. There, he put in an impressive performance, finishing third in the German 2,000 Guineas (Group II).

Waladares, trained locally by Sarah Steinberg, is also among the better horses of his age group and will once again be competing over a significantly shorter distance than in his last race. Among the older thoroughbreds, the six-year-old Montanus from Yasmin Almenräder’s stable is particularly worth watching. He most recently finished third in a Group III race over 1,600 meters and had won two top handicaps prior to that.

The second race moved from Düsseldorf, the BBAG Yearling Auction Stakes, is also run over 1,600 meters and offers a purse of 10,000 euros. The favorite in the six-horse field is the mare Deia’s Delight, trained by Steinberg. Gerald Geisler from Iffezheim in Baden is entering three horses in the race.

A Look at the Tasso Lineage
In addition to these new races, the MIG Fund Race at the start of the program (starting at 10:50 a.m.) is particularly worth noting. Nine 2-year-olds will compete in this 1,600-meter race. Horse racing fans are particularly eager to see how Laveran (trainer Andreas Wöhler) and Westana (Maxim Pecheur) will perform; both are descendants of Torquator Tasso, the winner of Europe’s most important race, the 2021 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe. His first crop as a stallion is now on the racetrack.

V4 and V7 Bets with Jackpots
For bettors, the V7 and V4 bets are particularly interesting. The goal is to correctly pick the winners in seven or four races, respectively. The V7 begins with the fourth race of the day (starting at 12:37 p.m.), and the racing association guarantees a minimum payout of 60,000 euros to the winners. This includes a jackpot of 18,182.92 euros, which offers higher odds if you win. The V4 bet covers the last four races of the day—races 7 through 10—and has a prize pool of 40,000 euros, including a jackpot of 11,189.63 euros.
Given these potential winnings, the final race of the day—the 1,400-meter amateur race (scheduled to start at 3:50 p.m.)—will draw a lot of attention with eight riders competing. This race will determine whether the jackpots will continue to grow and be awarded at the next Munich race day on September 14.

Normally, this coming Saturday, August 22, at the Munich-Riem racetrack would be billed as “A Race Day for Grassroots Sports.” However, two developments are turning it into a special event: First, the Munich Racing Association stepped in at the last minute to save two races of significant sporting importance for owners and competitors following the […]

[24,23

post-7308","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-blog-en","category-news-en
["GET
