Top international jockeys on Saturday in the LOTTO Bayern Grand Prix

Two top international jockeys will be honored on Saturday, October 25, at the Munich-Riem racecourse: Briton Hollie Doyle and Italian Cristian Demuro will ride in the LOTTO Bayern Grand Prix – Munich Autumn Grand Prix. The €25,000 Listed race over 1,300m is the sporting highlight of the autumn event featuring seven gallop competitions. The first start is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. As always, there will be a comprehensive entertainment program for children and an extensive culinary offering.

The Autumn Prize has attracted 13 candidates and boasts a strong field. Two of the best sprinters trained in Germany, Schützenzauber (trained by Jean-Pierre Carvalho) and Espero (Pavel Vovcenko), are competing. However, the favorites are likely to fall to the guests. The 29-year-old Doyle, who has ridden more than 1,000 winners in her illustrious career and was the first woman to win a Group I race on the European mainland, will be riding the five-year-old Shartash. The protégé of Briton Archie Watson recently narrowly prevailed in a Listed race in Düsseldorf. Pershing, from Gerald Geisler’s stable, who placed second there, will again be among the contenders.

Badana, also three years old like Pershing, comes from France. She is trained by Henri-Alex Pantall, who has already celebrated numerous successes in this type of race in Germany. Badana recently announced her success in Baden-Baden. Riding is 33-year-old Demuro, whose previous successes include two Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe wins and three French Derby wins.

Decision in the Amateur Championship

The start of the main race is scheduled for 3 p.m., and half an hour later the Bavarian Amateur Championship will decide the winner. Kevin Braye, Swen Straßmeier, and Claudia Fleißner still have a chance of winning the title. All three have promising rides in the AS Innenausbau Cup, the Handicap IV over 1,300m. Eleven horses are competing. Straßmeier will ride his own horse, Superjet, Braye will ride Lady Roche, trained by Gordon Batistic, and Fleißner will ride Lady Miller (Bettina Mühlbauer).

Lucky Loser raffle after the last race

As always, the Munich Racing Club offers lucrative betting offers. Races 3 to 6 feature the V4 bet, which guarantees a payout of €10,000. The goal is to predict the winners of these four races. The main race also features a four-way bet, which offers a minimum of €13,333. The prize money will be divided among those who manage to pick the first four horses in the correct order.

But even those who aren’t so lucky can still win. In cooperation with LOTTO Bayern, there’s a “Lucky Loser” raffle, in which all losing win and place bets over €10 can participate. The drawing will take place after the last race (start at 4:30 p.m.) at the unloading area. First prize is a casino weekend, second prize is VIP tickets for Augsburg vs. Bremen, and third prize is VIP tickets for 1. FC Nürnberg vs. Braunschweig. Tickets Augsburg gegen Bremen, 3. Preis VIP Tickets 1. FC Nürnberg gegen Braunschweig.
