On October 24, the Munich Autumn Stakes, a Listed race, will take place; in 2026, it will feature the stallion Rubaiyat as its partner for the first time. The son of Areion, who remained undefeated as a two-year-old and claimed victories in the Gran Criterium (Gr. II) and the Preis des Winterfavoriten (Gr. III), will have his first crop on the racetrack in 2026, and it is shaping up to be very promising. Already, six of his offspring—Zauberflöte, Nyela, Mahasti, Naxio, Barca, and Taylor Made—have won races. Particularly noteworthy is Mahasti’s victory in the BBAG Auction Race for fillies during the “Große Woche” in Iffezheim. The yearlings offered at the BBAG Yearling Auction fetched very good prices, making Rubaiyat the current “talking stallion.”
