One of the Munich Racing Club’s most popular events is coming up: On Monday, June 23, Auto Häusler’s popular after-work race day will take place again at the racecourse in Munich-Riem. „We’re expecting a full house again, a fantastic atmosphere, exciting sport paired with plenty of entertainment,“ says the racing club’s managing director, Sascha Multerer.
TSV 1860 Munich will also be participating: Professionals Kevin Volland and Jesper Verlaat will be available for an autograph session, and there will also be a raffle for the Blues‘ jerseys. A large food truck offering everything the heart desires will be available for visitors. A standard feature for the Munich Racing Club is a comprehensive children’s area with pony rides, a bouncy castle, a carousel, and more on every race day.
Auto Häusler, with its twelve locations in and around Munich and representing the Opel, Citroen, Fiat, Honda, and Mazda brands, has been a partner of the racetrack for several years. Hotel vouchers will be raffled off on race day on the Instagram account Haeusler_automobile.
Seven races with V4 bet and four-way bet
But the horses don’t miss out on all this: Seven races are scheduled, with the first start at 5:15 p.m. The Continental Cup over 2,000m is also one of the sporting highlights, as it features ten as yet winless three-year-old thoroughbreds. It seems quite possible that the winner could make some headlines over the course of the season. The V4 bet begins in the third race. Whoever correctly predicts the winners in races 3 to 6 has the chance to win 10,000 euros.
The best handicap race of the evening, in which the horses have to carry significantly different weights depending on their previous performance, is the Honda Handicap, a handicap III over 2,000m with a prize of €7,000. Nine horses are running. There are 13 candidates in the Mobil 1 Cup, a handicap IV over 1,600m. This is a four-way bet, guaranteed by the racing club with a minimum prize of €10,000. The goal is to pick the first four horses in the correct order.
The race day concludes with a Handicap III, also well-attended with nine horses. The competition covers the rarely run distance of 1,500m. The start is scheduled for 8:45 p.m.
